In order for a refurbished Pentax endoscope to last for a very long time, it must be properly taken care of. One of the ways to ensure that it is well taken care of is for it to be cleaned correctly. The following are some of the ways on how endoscopes are properly cleaned and disinfected:

• Make sure that sink basins are huge enough to cater the insertion tube. In addition to this, there must be no sharp corners. The entire area must be covered with a soft material such as cloth when really needed.
• The accessories must be separated from the scopes because the scopes have sharp parts such as the forceps and spray nozzles, which may damage the soft parts of the scopes.
• To prevent the internal surfaces such as the biopsy and suction channels from getting torn, it is always best to make use of cleaning brushes that are of the right sizes and of excellent condition.
